Galeria Plan B

Plan B is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2005 in Cluj, Romania, by Mihai Pop and Adrian Ghenie as a production and exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art. Its program focuses on researching Romanian art of the past 50 years and bringing greater international attention to important artists who have often been overlooked. In 2008, Plan B expanded with a permanent space in Berlin, now led by Mihai Pop and Mihaela Lutea.

Beyond its exhibitions, the gallery has played an important role in major cultural initiatives, including the founding of Fabrica de Pensule in Cluj and the development of Fundatia Plan B. The gallery has also been closely connected to the Romanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale and has supported numerous international presentations. Through its participation in leading art fairs such as Art Basel, Frieze, FIAC, and ARCO, the gallery has established itself as a key platform for Romanian contemporary art on the global stage.

Founded by Sarah Dorweiler, Aesence is an independent editorial publication dedicated to minimalist art and design.
