The Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris is located between the Champs-Élysées and the Eiffel Tower. It is housed in the Palais de Tokyo, an impressive example of 1930s architecture built for the 1937 International Exposition. The museum opened in 1961.
Its collection contains over 13,000 works, covering major artistic movements from the early twentieth century to the present day. Visitors can discover works by famous artists such as Picasso, Modigliani, Chagall and Peter Doig.
