Liverpool Street Gallery presents HERE, WITH YOU, the first exhibition at the gallery by Australian artist Tara McIntosh (b. 1999).
McIntosh’s paintings are minimal works that focus on surface, paint, and materiality. Developed through studio-based research, her process allows pigment, dust, debris, and acrylic paint to accumulate on the canvas. This layered process embeds a rich history within the surface, reflecting both the labor-intensive nature of her practice and a thoughtful commentary on the contemporary landscape of painting. Her practice reflects an ongoing interest in the relationship between painting, physicality, and trace, with each work carrying the residue of both place and process.
