Chinati Foundation

The Chinati Foundation/La Fundación Chinati is a museum in Marfa, Texas, founded by Donald Judd in 1986 and dedicated to the permanent presentation of large-scale artworks. Today, the museum houses a growing collection of art installations that are closely related to the architecture and surrounding landscape.

The collection includes works by renowned artists such as Dan Flavin, John Chamberlain, Carl Andre and Judd himself. The Foundation also promotes a diverse range of cultural events, educational programs and artist residencies to maintain the community’s vitality and engagement with the arts.
