Founded in 2009, the Kienzle Art Foundation in Berlin is a non-profit institution that emerged from an initiative by Berlin collector and former gallery owner Jochen Kienzle. At its heart is Kienzle’s private art collection.
The foundation is available to the public as an educational resource with a special focus on marginalized, forgotten, or little-known artistic positions from Germany, Europe, and the USA since the 1960s. The aim is to correct omissions and complete art history, to make previously overlooked artists visible, and to offer them a space for presentation and discourse.
