LOT Floor Lamp by FOOLS GOLD

LOT is a minimalist floor lamp designed by FOOLS GOLD design studio. The floor lamp plays with conventions and defies gravity. At first glance, it appears to fall over at any moment, but a clever kinetic interplay keeps it in place at all times. A counterweight at the base of the luminaire ensures that it always aligns with the line of sight in the room, creating a visual experience.

With this unique luminaire, FOOLS GOLD not only won the one&twenty award of the German Design Council but also attracted the attention of the international design scene. Thus, the LOT floor lamp was exhibited at the Salone del Mobile 2017, one of the most important furniture fairs in the world.

The lamp is an expression of FOOLS GOLD’s design philosophy. As an interdisciplinary studio from Germany, the two minds behind FOOLS GOLD, Hauke Unterburg and Julian Wallis, combine different approaches to create objects that are both functional and aesthetically sophisticated. Through their work, they set new standards and show that innovative ideas know no boundaries.
