Nendo
Oki Sato, born in 1977 in Toronto, Canada, is the driving force behind the distinguished design studio, nendo. The studio's name is derived from Japanese and means ‘clay’ or ‘modeling clay’, a material which is extremely malleable and easy to shape. According to Oki Sato, the name was chosen as it is representative of a studio which develops design concepts for a wide variety of clients. His minimalistic creations are full of small details and often utilize soft, friendly shapes which make them look familiar to the observer at first glance.
